Well another first and a HUGE learning curve to come. All went well to start but PHD and the paramount may not be a match made in heaven. Also when i tried to use the Tpoint software addon things just went wrong but I have never used anything quite like this software before. But before the PHD and Tpoint the tracking was amazing and this thing really is stable to the max. Cant wait to put this machine through its paces next clear patch.
I use the Atik 314L+ mono ccd camera as the sensitivity alows me to capture great detail in short times. I use a manual filterwheel with a baader LRGB filter set. I also have a Atik OAG with a Lodestar autoguider camera. THis is a very compact little rig that I can pack away in one piece. I also have a 80mm extension tube. Once attached to the 3.5 inch feathertouch focuser I can gain focus in seconds.
Well i got bored one day so made my own motor focuser. It works a treat has 2 speeds and does all I need it to for now.
I use a Lunt LS60THa solarscope with 2 inch feathertouch focuser and 1200 blocking filter. I use both my Atik 314L+ camera nd my DMK 21AU618.AS Mono camera. I would usually use this on the Losmandy GM8 mount as its a bit overkill for the Paramount MX.
The TMB130SS is one amazing telescope. Its a cheap TMB body with perfect optics and an amazing 3.5 inch feathertouch focuser. This scope never stops surprising me on the rare nights I use it for visual and is a perfect imaging scope to. I also have a Orion USA 80mm scope I used to use for autoguiding before I got the Atik OAG.
A dream come true for me. I wanted a future proof mount that will give me the best i can get all the time. I plan to do a lot of high focal lengh photographs and mosaic work in the future so needed the best tracking I could get. I also have crazy ideas for my next scopes so may need the 42KG payload this beast can give me.
